Enable push notifications on Apple iPhone

Only available on iOS 16.4 or later

This is a two-step process on iPhone:

  1. Add Bike Hub to your Home Screen

    1. Open up bikehub.co.za in Safari on your iPhone

    2. Tap the share icon on the bottom bar and then "Add to Home Screen"

  2. Enable Push notifications in the Bike Hub app

    1. Open the Bike Hub app from the new icon on your Home Screen

    2. Login and visit your Notification settings page

    3. Tap "Enable on this device" under Push notifications and when prompted select "Allow" to enable notifications.

Enable push notifications on Android Phones or a desktop browser

  1. Make sure you are logged in to Bike Hub on your phone.

  2. Login and visit your Notification settings page

  3. Tap "Enable on this device" under Push notifications and when prompted select "Allow" to enable notifications.

Troubleshooting

I've enabled push notifications but still do not receive them
If you've successfully followed the steps above to enable push notifications, you might have settings elsewhere that are preventing them from showing:

  • Safari on Apple iPhone: Settings > Bike Hub and ensure that "Allow Notifications" is enabled along with the particular alert style you prefer.

  • MacOS: Settings > Notifications > Safari/Chrome (your web browser) and ensure that "Allow Notifications" is enabled along with the particular alert style you prefer.

  • Chrome on Android: Within Chrome open Settings, tap Site Settings > Notifications and ensure notifications are allowed. More info.
