Bike Hub does not have a single phone number setting in your account. Your number is asked for at each point where it is needed, and each one is stored separately. This article covers where each number is set and who can see it.
If you sell privately
Where you set your number
You set your selling number on the advert form, under Phone. There is no phone field in your account settings, so the advert form is the only place to enter it. Once entered, it is used on all of your adverts.
Next to the field is a Show phone number on advert toggle, and this toggle controls everything:
Toggle on: your number is saved and shown on your adverts.
Toggle off: your number is not shown on your adverts, and the number you typed is not saved.
To change your number later, edit any one of your adverts, update the Phone field, and save. The change applies to all of your adverts, not only the one you edited.
Where your number appears
Your number appears on your advert pages as a Phone Number button. Buyers tap the button to reveal the number, then tap again to call. Only logged-in members can reveal it. Visitors who are not signed in see a prompt to log in first.
Your number is never shown on category, search, or browse pages. It appears on the advert itself and nowhere else on the marketplace.
Hiding your number
To hide your number, switch off Show phone number on advert on the advert form. Buyers can still reach you through the Message button, and any Bike Hub Pay deal will still show the contact number you entered for that deal.
Bike Hub Pay deals
A Bike Hub Pay deal asks for a contact number of its own, separate from the number on your adverts:
Sellers enter a contact number when responding to an offer, along with your ID and banking details.
Buyers enter a contact number when completing your details after an offer has been accepted.
The contact number is saved against that specific deal, not to your account. It is pre-filled from the number on your adverts, or from the number you used on your last deal if you have not set one. The other party in the deal sees it on the deal pages, with call and WhatsApp links, so that you can arrange collection or delivery.
Because the contact number belongs to the deal, changing the number on your adverts will not change a deal that is already in progress. If a number needs correcting on a live deal, contact support.
Reporting a stolen bike
The stolen bike report form also asks for a contact number. That number is saved with the report and does not change the number on your adverts.
If you have a dealer account
Dealer accounts have two separate numbers, which is the most common reason a number looks different in two places. This section applies to dealer accounts only. If you sell privately, you will not see a Business Profile section in your settings.
1. Your advert number
Your advert number is set on the advert form, exactly as described above. This is the number buyers see on your adverts.
2. Your shop contact number
Your shop contact number is set under Settings > My Business Profile > Shop Contact Information > Phone Number.
If your account is set up as a bike shop, your shop contact number appears in the contact details at the top of your public profile page, alongside your website and address. Other dealer account types set the number in the same place, but it does not display in the profile header.
Updating one number does not update the other. If the number on your adverts and the number on your profile page do not match, update both.
Quick summary
This table lists every place your phone number can appear and where to change it.
Where it shows | Which number | Where to change it |

A Bike Hub Pay deal (all members) | The contact number entered on that deal | Contact support for a deal in progress |
Profile page contact details (dealer accounts set up as a bike shop) | Your shop contact number | Settings > My Business Profile |
