How do I cancel a deal?

Cancelling a Bike Hub Pay deal

Although an accepted offer (a deal) on Bike Hub Pay is considered a binding agreement, it can be cancelled in certain situations.

Note: Buyers or sellers who repeatedly renege on deals without reasonable grounds may be suspended from use of the Bike Hub Pay service, or Bike Hub in general.


Cancelling a deal prior to payment:
Cancelling before the buyer has made payment.

  1. Buyer and seller must have agreed to cancel the deal
    or the buyer has not made payment within the allowed time frame.

  2. The buyer or seller must advise Bike Hub of the cancellation.
    Include the deal number and reasons for the request.

    1. Click on the support messenger icon in the bottom right of this screen

    2. Email us via pay@bikehub.co.za

    3. Send us a WhatsApp

  3. Bike Hub will confirm the agreement to cancel with the other party (where required).

  4. Upon cancellation the related advert will be automatically re-listed.

Cancelling a deal prior to shipping / collection of item:
Cancelling when the goods are still with the seller.

  1. Buyer and seller must have agreed to cancel the deal
    or the seller has not shipped within the allowed time frame.

  2. The buyer must advise Bike Hub of the cancellation.
    Include the deal number and reasons for the request.

    3. Send us a WhatsApp

  3. Bike Hub will confirm the agreement to cancel with the seller (where required).

  4. The buyer will be refunded via EFT

Cancelling a deal after buyer receives the item
Return and refund process.

  1. The buyer must advise Bike Hub of the return and refund request.
    Include the deal number and reasons for the request.

    1. Click on the Log Dispute link on the deal page

    2. Click on the support messenger icon in the bottom right of this screen

    3. Email us via pay@bikehub.co.za

    4. Send us a WhatsApp

  2. The buyer must arrange for the safe return of the item to the seller.

    1. A trackable courier service must be used.

    2. Tracking number must be supplied to Bike Hub.

  3. Bike Hub will await confirmation of return to the seller.

  4. Once returned, the buyer will be refunded via EFT.
