Bike Hub Pay Transactions:
If you used Bike Hub Pay for your transaction, you can log a dispute with us for assistance with returns and refunds.
Direct Deals:
For transactions done directly between buyers and sellers (without Bike Hub Pay), you must resolve the issue privately. Bike Hub cannot enforce or dissolve private agreements.
Steps to Resolve Disputes:
Discuss with the Other Party:
Most reputable buyers/sellers are open to resolving issues. Options may include:
A partial or full refund.
Returning the goods.
Small Claims Court:
If the other party refuses to cooperate, you may take the matter to the Small Claims Court.
Report to the Police:
If a crime (e.g., fraud) has occurred, report it to the South African Police Service.
Report the Account to Bike Hub:
If the seller/buyer violates Bike Hub’s Terms and Policies (e.g., non-delivery or non-payment), report the account to us.
Dealer Accounts:
If the seller is a dealer, the Consumer Protection Act may apply. They could be required to repair, replace, or refund within 6 months of purchase.
Post a Rating:
Share your experience by rating the user on Bike Hub. This won’t resolve your issue but can warn others and encourage the seller to reconsider their stance.
